How IMPRESSA Began
IMPRESSA began with journeys through the tea-growing regions of Yunnan, Zhejiang and Fujian. Visiting tea gardens and speaking with growers, we saw first-hand the care, skill and daily work behind growing and making tea.
We also saw how difficult it can be for that work to reach people beyond where the tea is grown. That experience stayed with us, and became part of the reason we created IMPRESSA — to help thoughtfully made teas reach more people while sharing the culture and enjoyment that surrounds tea.

We tasted our way through hundreds of teas and infusions before deciding what belonged in the IMPRESSA collection. Each one is chosen for a clear point of difference — a flavour, aroma or character that makes it worth coming back to.

IMPRESSA takes its name from “impressive” — a reflection of the teas we look for: distinctive in flavour, aroma or character, and memorable in the cup.
